8 Foot Interior Doors
An 8 foot door is 96" (8'0") tall instead of the standard 80" (6'8"), for rooms with taller ceilings and openings. Discount Moulding carries 11 doors made 96" tall, 9 solid core and 2 hollow core. The styles are Shaker 1-Panel, Shaker 2-Panel, 1-Lite Frosted Glass, REEB PR730W Louver, Destino, 1-Lite Clear Glass, Smooth Carrara 2-Panel, Textured 6-Panel, Flush Primed Hardboard, Craftsman Shaker 3-Panel and Equal Shaker 3-Panel. 7 of them come primed, ready to paint.
Single doors come 12" to 36" (1'0" to 3'0") wide, in a height of 96", and pairs fit openings from 24" to 72" (2'0" to 6'0"). Slabs start at $189.99 and prehung doors at $219.99, and prices run up to $619.99 depending on size and preparation. Every one is sold prehung, hung in a jamb with hinges, with a 4 9/16", 4 7/8" and 6 9/16" flat jamb and matte black, brushed nickel, satin brass and polished chrome hinges, or as a slab, the door alone.

8 Foot Interior Doors: questions
Which doors come 96" (8'0") tall?
Shaker 1-Panel Solid Core Interior Door, Shaker 2-Panel Solid Core Interior Door, 1-Lite Frosted Glass Solid Core Interior Door, REEB PR730W Louver Solid Core Interior Door, Destino Solid Core Interior Door, 1-Lite Clear Glass Solid Core Interior Door, Smooth Carrara 2-Panel Hollow Core Interior Door, Textured 6-Panel Hollow Core Interior Door, Flush Primed Hardboard Solid Core Interior Door, Craftsman Shaker 3-Panel Solid Core Interior Door and Equal Shaker 3-Panel Solid Core Interior Door. Open any of them to see its price in this size, as a slab or prehung.
Should I buy a slab or a prehung door?
A slab is the door alone, with no jamb or hinges: choose it to replace a door in a frame you are keeping. A prehung door comes hung in its jamb with hinges, ready to set in the rough opening, which is easier for a new wall or a full replacement. Here, 11 doors come as a slab (from $189.99) and 11 doors come prehung (from $219.99).
What jamb depths can I choose?
Prehung doors here come with a 4 9/16", 4 7/8" and 6 9/16" flat jamb. 4 9/16" fits a standard 2x4 wall with 1/2" drywall on both sides and 6 9/16" fits a 2x6 wall. Measure the wall from one finished face to the other and choose the jamb that matches.
