This is an S4S board. S4S means surfaced on four sides: all four faces are planed smooth and square, so the board works as flat stock, a plain baseboard or casing, or a built-up trim.
It is 11/16" thick and 3-1/2" wide. It is sold by the piece, each 16' long.
