Pine vs. MDF – Which Should You Choose?

• FJ Pine is stronger and more impact-resistant, making it ideal for high-traffic areas or where durability matters. Its real wood grain holds fasteners better and resists bowing over time.

• MDF offers a super smooth surface perfect for paint and is often preferred for modern, crisp trim details. It's also more affordable but not recommended for damp areas or where nailing into studs is critical.
